Spotlight on Central Asia
Driving improvement through targeted support
Nations in Central Asia are aiming to rapidly expand their education systems to equip a whole generation of young people with skills for a prosperous future.
In partnership with ministries, assessment organisations and education leaders across the region, we make these ambitions a reality.
We help to run large-scale projects that build modern economies by improving the quality of education and testing programmes nationwide. Our support includes curriculum development, teacher training and secure digital assessment, ensuring that national reforms lead to wide-reaching and sustainable progress.
Why partner with us?
As a not-for-profit organisation, we are committed to building lasting economic growth by sharing international best practice in the areas which make the most impact:
- Teacher development and leadership – We provide resources and training that strengthens teaching quality and builds leadership capacity across schools and institutions.
- Skills for the green and digital economy – We work with industry leaders to design new curriculums and vocational programmes which prepare learners for future jobs.
- Quality assessment – We design and implement high-stakes tests that meet international standards and ensure fairness.

Innovating assessment with NTC Kazakhstan
The National Testing Center (NTC) of Kazakhstan is undertaking an implementation phase of GradeMaker, our secure digital platform for assessment development, and undertaking a Validity Audit as part of their strategy to strengthen capacity and consistency in their high-stakes exams.

Internationally aligned assessments in the Kyrgyz Republic
In partnership with The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, our experts were recently awarded a World Bank commissioned project to deliver analysis and training. This work will align their Grade 4 National Learning Assessments with best practice and enable reporting on international development goals.
